Calculating Coupon Savings

It is always nice to keep track of your savings and here is a great way to find your percentages from shopping trips.

1. Subtract your total out of pocket cost From the before savings cost (original cost). This equals the amount saved.

2. Divide the amount saved by the original cost. Move the decimal over two places and this equals your percentage saved!

Calculating costs and savings is a huge part Of keeping a budget. Tools like savings tracker On the coupon project website are wonderful aids to keeping track of everything in one place. I love this spreadsheet and use it religiously. Check it out you won't be disappointed.
